Ben Lawson (he/him) is a graduate of the prestigious National Institute for the Dramatic Arts (NIDA). He most recently starred in MIXTAPE alongside Teresa Palmer and Jim Sturgess for Foxtel and will appear in Gristmill’s DEAR LIFE for Stan later this year. He recently wrapped on Columbia Pictures’ ANACONDA opposite Paul Rudd and Jack Black. Ben’s other notable appearances are on the Netflix series FIREFLY LANE opposite Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke, and in Jay Roach's acclaimed film BOMBSHELL, where he portrayed the role of "Lachlan Murdoch." He also starred as “Larry Hemsworth” in THE GOOD PLACE opposite Ted Danson and Kristen Bell and as “Clay Fox” in the Netflix series Dolly Parton’s HEARTSTRINGS. He starred as MI-6 operative “Damian Rennet” on ABC’s hit drama DESIGNATED SURVIVOR and in 13 REASONS WHY as Liberty High’s “Coach Rick.”
Upon relocating to LA, he was quickly cast as the lead in the ABC series THE DEEP END and then starred opposite Academy Award winner Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher in Paramount's NO STRINGS ATTACHED. Additional credits include MODERN FAMILY (ABC), COVERT AFFAIRS (USA), RAKE (Netflix), DOLLFACE (Hulu), GRIMM (NBC), BILLIONS (Showtime), MULANEY (FOX), DON'T TRUST THE B- IN APT 23 (ABC), 2 BROKE GIRLS (CBS), BONES (TNT), DOUBT (CBS), THE LEAGUE (FX), the Australian SECRETS & LIES and NEIGHBOURS.
It has been 19 years since Ben has performed onstage. He is very excited to be a part of ECHO.
