James O'Connell

James O’Connell (he/him) is a powerful and dedicated actor with a passion for telling Australian stories.

Television: Last King of the Cross, Underbelly Files: Chopper, Top of the Lake – China Girl, The Secret River, Gallipoli, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries and Jack Irish: Dead Point. Film: The Nightingale and Hacksaw Ridge. James is also a talented voiceover artist working across commercials and audiobooks.

James is a multiple Green Room Award nominee (2013, 2014) and winner as part of the Outstanding Ensemble and Production for My Sister Jill (2024).

James is graduate of the VCA School of Drama (2012) and a proud Equity member.
