John Marc Desengano (he/him) is a Filipino-Australian actor, theatre-maker and educator based in Melbourne. As a passionate advocate for the youth arts sector, he often collaborates with Polyglot Theatre and St. Martin’s You Theatre, and recently finished his tenure as Co-Artistic Director and Co-CEO of Western Edge.
For Malthouse Theatre, John Marc has appeared in PRIDE & PREJUDICE, F*** CHRISTMAS, ATLANTIS and LOOKING FOR ALIBRANDI. Other theatre credits include JUST A BOY STANDING IN FRONT OF A GIRL and THE YELLOW WAVE (15 Minutes from Anywhere); THE BACHELOR S17 E05 (The B.O.T.S./La Mama); A MIDNIGHT VISIT (Broad Encounters Productions); ENLIGHTENMENT (Elbow Room); VAMPIRE LESBIANS OF SODOM (Little Ones Theatre) and RHINOCEROS (Spinning Plates Co.).
On screen, his television credits include BAD COMPANY, FISK, AUNTY DONNA’S COFFEE CAFÉ, THE NEWSREADER and LIE WITH ME.
John Marc is a graduate of the University of Ballarat, Arts Academy (Acting).
