Justin Gardam (he/him) is an award-winning designer whose practice spans sound, composition, video, and dramaturgy for theatre.
For Malthouse Theatre, Justin was sound designer for PRIDE & PREJUDICE; and associate designer for TRUTH, MACBETH (AN UNDOING), HOMO PENTECOSTUS and HOUR OF THE WOLF. Other theatre credits include sound designer for THE MEETING (Red Stitch Actors’ Theatre); THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, ANIMAL FARM, A DODGEBALL NAMED DESIRE and PARADISE LOST (Bloomshed); HELLS GATES (Geelong Arts Centre/Space Company); HOW THE KING LEARNED TO LIVE FOREVER (Pummel Squad); NO SEASONS (SKINT); SHITBAG (Tiny Table Reads) and AV Designer for LAURINDA (Melbourne Theatre Company).
Justin won a Green Room Award for Composition and Sound Design in Independent Theatre (The Market is a Wind-up Toy), along with a further two wins and twelve nominations for his work with Bloomshed across design, writing and production.
Justin is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts (Dramaturgy).
